Cross River Bank Integrates Ripple's RLUSD for Institutional Payments
Cross River Bank announced on October 15, 2026, a partnership with Ripple to integrate its stablecoin RLUSD into its core operating system. This adoption includes support for transactions on the XRP Ledger network. The bank's platform acts as an integration layer between regulated financial services and cryptocurrency-based payment networks. Financial technology companies will be able to access RLUSD payments through a single API connection for real-time settlements and cross-border transactions. The service is designed for institutional use, with transactions operating 24/7, settlement times of 3 to 5 seconds, and a cost per transaction of a fraction of a cent. Cross River will accept RLUSD payments as an additional method within its infrastructure, although services are currently available in a limited number of states. This integration occurs in a context where various solutions with RLUSD seek to position themselves within the international financial infrastructure, including the DriveWealth platform, which also plans to integrate the stablecoin for cross-border settlement processes, initially in Europe and with plans for expansion to the United States.
