Won stablecoin could generate 26000 million dollars in annual economic value
A won-denominated stablecoin could create around 36000 billion won (26000 million dollars) in annual economic value, according to Moon Cheol-woo, a professor at Sungkyunkwan University’s business school. At a policy seminar in Seoul on Nov. 5, Moon presented a framework to estimate the economic value of introducing a won stablecoin by applying adoption and effectiveness rates to official baseline statistics across eight use cases. Under a base-case scenario with a 10% to 20% adoption rate, the annual economic value was estimated at about 36000 billion won. A conservative scenario with a 5% adoption rate estimated the value at 12000 billion won (8700 million dollars), while an optimistic scenario with a 30% adoption rate put the value at 72000 billion won (52000 million dollars)

AI Policy Risk Sparks Selloff, BTC Breaks $76K | WEEX Weekly Recap (2026.11.02-11.06)
The market quickly shifted from post-election risk recovery to AI policy risk and data-center restriction pricing. After Democrats gained a clear seat advantage in the midterms, risk assets first traded lower uncertainty, but data-center limits, tighter AI regulation risk, and tech valuation pressure became the new selloff triggers. Thursday’s tech and AI-chain decline pulled BTC below $76,000, moving the market from earnings trades into a second-wave volatility window.
