Phishing Websites Use Meme Coin Display Pages to Attract Traffic, Traders Suffer Significant Losses
Recently, meme coins have seen a surge in popularity, with active trading on the blockchain. However, alongside the market recovery, phishing links have frequently appeared, leading to significant losses for several traders. Crypto KOLs @insidecalls and @cladzsol reported that during a chain scan, clicking on a meme coin homepage triggered a "Cloudflare verification" prompt. After completing the verification as instructed, funds on the blockchain were stolen. @cladzsol's loss was approximately $600,000. Market news indicates that multiple popular meme coin display pages redirect to phishing links. If users perform actions on these pages, their computers will download malicious scripts, resulting in asset loss. This phenomenon is related to the delayed review processes of mainstream trading aggregation platforms like DexScreener, which directly reference the "official website" or social media links from token metadata. These fields can be updated by token creators or those claiming "community takeover." Hackers exploit this review loophole, transforming meme coin display pages into new "fishing grounds" for phishing attacks. Users should exercise caution during chain scans; if a "Cloudflare verification" or other suspicious pages appear, they should close them immediately to avoid interaction and protect their assets.
