OpenUSD Stablecoin Charges $0.01 Management Fee and Establishes Equity Incentive Pool
The governance organization of OpenUSD (OUSD), Open Standard, has established a management fee and equity incentive mechanism. OUSD will charge a management fee of 0.1 basis points (0.001%) based on the payment transaction volume, with a maximum fee of $0.01 per payment. Specifically, payments of $1,000 or more will be subject to a capped fee of $0.01, while payments below $1,000 will be charged at 0.1 basis points of the transaction amount. The relevant management fees will be paid to Open Standard. OUSD plans to distribute reserve earnings to partners after deducting management fees. Open Standard will also provide equity incentives based on the scale of OUSD held and circulated by partners. Partners will receive a corresponding share of the annual equity incentive pool each month based on their holdings and transaction volume, with a participation threshold of at least $50 million in holdings, and a maximum ownership percentage of 5% for a single partner. OUSD is launched with the participation of companies such as Stripe, Visa, Mastercard, Coinbase, and Shopify, aiming to reduce cross-border settlement costs and bring fiat currency exchange demand close to zero.
