Ledger unveils Android signer Atom with Solana Mobile integration
Ledger has unveiled Ledger Atom, an Android device with a touchscreen and Solana Mobile app, during the Op3n event in Paris. The Founder's Edition costs $849 with a refundable deposit of $100, and after launch, it will be priced at $899. Atom combines digital asset management with everyday apps. It runs on both the Android Open Source Project and Ledger OS on a secure element with EAL6+ certification. Specifications include a 6.77-inch OLED display, a rear camera, a 4,000 mAh battery, and a Qualcomm Dragonwing chip. Deliveries will begin in the summer of 2027, exclusively via the Ledger website. Solana Mobile is the first hardware partner, with the Seeker app and Solana dApp Store pre-installed on Atom. The unveiling comes amid an investigation into unauthorized implants in wallets, with Ledger stating that the Core Protection feature mitigates risks. Inspections in Germany found no signs of tampering.
