BY Venture Partners Closes Its Third Investment Fund Worth $60 Million
BY Venture Partners, a venture capital firm based in the UAE, has announced the final closing of its third investment fund worth $60 million, bringing its total assets under management to over $200 million. The fund is primarily supported by the Dubai Future Fund (DFDF), with participation from MultiLane, Transmed Capital, and the Idris family office, along with institutional and private investors.
The company is led by founding partners Ghaith Yafi, Abdullah Yafi, Rami Jisr, and Sohrab Jahanbani, focusing on investing in early-stage technology startups in the Middle East and North Africa and global markets. Its previous funds have invested in companies including NymCard, Toters, Huspy, and Invisible.
The third fund aims to make investments of up to $1 million per company, targeting businesses that rely on artificial intelligence at their core, from pre-seed stage to Series A funding, particularly those developing AI-powered solutions for automating business processes and workflows.
The fund has already executed 15 investments out of a targeted portfolio of 40 startups, including PQ Shield, Cosyne, Isometric, Huspy, and Invisible. BY Venture Partners operates in over 16 markets, directing about two-thirds of its capital to investments outside the Middle East and North Africa, particularly in North America and Europe.
Separately, the company has been mandated to manage the Lebanese Angel Investors Network (LAIN), which connects Lebanese entrepreneurs with investors from the Lebanese diaspora abroad. It has also committed to reinvesting 50% of its share of carried interest to support the startup ecosystem in Lebanon.
Press Release:
BY Venture Partners, a global early-stage venture capital firm based in Dubai, has announced the final closing of its third investment fund, Fund III, worth $60 million.
The fund is primarily supported by the Dubai Future Fund (DFDF), with participation from regional institutions and investment arms of prominent companies and family offices, including MultiLane, a regional company specializing in artificial intelligence and high-speed data transport infrastructure, Transmed Capital, and the Idris family office in Saudi Arabia.
The third fund raises BY Venture Partners' total assets under management to over $200 million.
Supporting AI-driven startups from the region to global markets
The third fund will focus on making investments of up to $1 million in startups that have artificial intelligence at their core, from pre-seed stage to Series A funding. The fund targets companies that redesign workflows within enterprises and adopt global expansion from the outset.
BY Venture Partners is based in the UAE at a time when the region is witnessing a surge in the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies. According to a McKinsey survey conducted in November 2025 on Gulf Cooperation Council countries, 84% of institutions use AI in at least one of their business functions, compared to 62% in 2023.
The firm invests in over 16 international markets, directing about two-thirds of its capital to markets outside the Middle East and North Africa, particularly in North America and Europe.
The third fund has already begun executing its investments, having invested in 15 companies so far, within a targeted portfolio of 40 startups, including PQ Shield, Cosyne, Isometric, Huspy, and Invisible.
Ghaith Yafi, co-founder of BY Venture Partners, said:
<<We are pleased to officially announce our third fund today. This fund focuses on supporting companies that have artificial intelligence at their core and possess global ambitions.
We see promising opportunities to attract some of the most innovative AI companies in the world to the Middle East and connect them with the rapidly growing tech ecosystem in the region. We are implementing an investment strategy aimed at delivering strong and sustainable returns for our partners in the long term.>>
Institutional support to enhance the region's role in the tech sector
The primary investment commitment from the Dubai Future Fund enhances BY Venture Partners' role in supporting the Middle East's position as a global technology hub, linking regional capital with international investment opportunities.
Nader Al-Bastaki, the General Director of the Dubai Future Fund (DFDF), said:
<<We decided to invest in the third fund because the BY Venture Partners model works in two directions; it attracts global companies that rely on artificial intelligence to Dubai and opens doors for founders from the region to international markets. This exchange aligns with the goals of Dubai's economic agenda D33.
Ghaith, Abdullah, Rami, Sohrab, and their team have previously established companies and exited them, as well as managed capital through a complete economic cycle. The flow of companies and founders between the region and global markets will be the basis for our evaluation of the success of this partnership.>>
For his part, Fadi Dho, the founder and CEO of MultiLane, said:
<<We have believed in the potential of BY Venture Partners since its inception, and we are pleased to contribute to its third fund to support promising startups that rely on artificial intelligence since its launch in the region.
As a contributor to building the entrepreneurship ecosystem and a former entrepreneur, I see that the vision of BY Venture Partners aligns perfectly with our vision.>>
Supporting the Lebanese Entrepreneurship Ecosystem through the Lebanese Angel Investor Network (LAIN)
As part of its commitment to supporting entrepreneurship ecosystems, BY Venture Partners has received a mandate backed by MITAI to manage and operate the Lebanese Angel Investor Network (LAIN).
The network aims to connect the capital of Lebanese investors abroad with early-stage Lebanese founders by providing an organized pathway to access seed funding, alongside connecting the new generation of angel investors in the region.
In its long-term commitment to support the recovery of the Lebanese entrepreneurship ecosystem, BY Venture Partners has pledged to reinvest 50% of its share in investment profits (Carried Interest) directly into efforts to rebuild the startup ecosystem in Lebanon.
An Investment Company Founded by Entrepreneurs to Support Entrepreneurs
BY Venture Partners relies on direct operational experience in its investment approach, as its four partners, Ghaith Yafi, Abdullah Yafi, Rami Jisr, and Sohrab Jahani, have previously established companies and exited them before uniting their efforts as investors.
This approach, which focuses on providing practical support to founders, has helped the company achieve a score of 87 on the Founder Net Promoter Score, which measures how willing founders are to recommend the investment company.
BY Venture Partners has built its investment track record over multiple economic cycles, including the comprehensive financial collapse in Lebanon, where its first fund had significant investment exposure to the Lebanese market.
Despite those circumstances, the first fund is still on track to achieve strong multiple returns for its investors, according to the company.
The company has had to adapt to rapidly changing market conditions and has gained a reputation for moving quickly to support founders during the toughest stages and challenges they faced.
The second fund continues to perform strongly compared to funds launched during the same period.
Together, the first and second funds have resulted in investments in four unicorn companies, with two companies for each fund, alongside a growing number of companies currently valued at hundreds of millions of dollars. The company has already returned tangible capital amounts to its limited partners (LPs).
Through its third fund, BY Venture Partners continues to leverage its international network and investment approach that prioritizes artificial intelligence and global markets, aiming to provide early-stage founders with the operational support, capital, and international connections necessary to build technology platforms capable of transforming markets.
