A wallet moves 4,582 BTC, $377.6 million
A wallet transferred approximately 4,582 BTC on October 12, representing $377.6 million according to Lookonchain. These funds, received in March 2020 for about $40.8 million, were distributed among five addresses. Although this movement is significant, it does not prove a sale. The original address had received the majority of its funds on March 3, 2020. The value of the bitcoins has increased by about $336.8 million since their receipt. A small outgoing transaction of 0.009 BTC was recorded on August 7, 2024, indicating limited activity over six years. Another whale also transferred 4,500 BTC the previous week after more than four years of inactivity. The transfer of bitcoins does not necessarily indicate a sale, as the same holder may manage multiple addresses. The intentions behind this movement remain unknown.
